The GE MASTR II is, with out doubt, a favorite among amateurs for conversion to the amateur repeater service. They work very well and are easy to find, modify and maintain. The MASTR II in my opinion is an engineering masterpiece. As I looked through the schematics and the board lay-outs, it was easy to see that every signal you could ever want from a radio is easily available at the front connector. Modifying the radio for full duplex is also very easy, a cut and a couple of jumps are all that is required.

I never found an all in one stop on the Internet to tell me about the MASTR II, and that is what I have tried to do here. Good luck with your conversion and please, drop me an Email and let me know how it worked out for you. If you have discovered something, please let me know.
